Matthew Sherlock joined The Law Offices of Geoffrey A. Planer in the summer of 2011. Although his practice is focused primarily in the areas of Bankruptcy and Family Law, he has experience representing clients in many important legal matters.
Mr. Sherlock attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate course work and earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Charlotte School of Law. While in law school Mr. Sherlock was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team where he represented the Charlotte School of Law at multiple nationally recognized trial advocacy competitions. In addition to his success at national trial competitions, Mr. Sherlock was recognized for the many hours of Pro Bono legal work he completed while earning his degree.
Prior to joining The Law Offices of Geoffrey A. Planer, Mr. Sherlock gained substantial legal experience while serving as an intern at the Office of the District Attorney for District 20B (Union County, North Carolina).
Mr. Sherlock is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, Gaston County Bar Association and Mecklenburg County Bar Association. Mr. Sherlock is licensed and admitted to practice before all North Carolina state courts, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
